So, my Sunday cooking began when my son was born and refused bought baby food... yay! I fell into a habit of cooking for him and then, finally, the rest of the family on Sundays so that we were prepared for the week ahead and I wasn't totally stressed out trying to find meals at the last minute. I'm not saying that there are never times when we don't do a "we feel like breakfast for supper" because we do! Now on Friday evening we discuss what we want to eat the following week, and I make a menu plan and grocery list. This also helps us lower our grocery bill because I'm not running to the store a couple of times a week and grabbing those extras that we always tend to grab as we're running around the store getting the items we actually NEED.
I've also learned that I LOVE to cook. I like learning new techniques, using different tools, etc. I'm no Jamie Oliver or Martha Stewart, but I like to learn and try new things. I enjoy new recipes too, but am a bit hindered by food allergies, so I substitute a lot of the time.
Next weekend, I'll post photos and recipes of what's cooking in Kim's kitchen :)
